On October 28, Ayala Corporation announced that it had reached an agreement with NCS (National Computer Systems), a 100%-owned subsidiary of SingTel and the largest IT company in Singapore, to acquire 51% of ASTI (Ayala Systems Technology, Inc.).

NCS is an ICT Service Vendor, which ranks 8^th in APAC (excluding Japan) with 7,000 Engineers. The companies strengths lie in the Banking/Financing, Communication, Healthcare, Airplane, Manufacturing and Public sectors. They retain a good reputation among the top companies in the Asia & Pacific region as an ICT service provider with especially strong ICT Infrastructure and support systems.

With this agreement, ASTI has now two strong bases in Asia: the Philippines and Singapore. For Japanese companies who want to expand business in the ASEAN market, ASTI/ASJ could provide useful help and access through the combined Ayala and SingTel networks.
